Relief

For a day I thought we had lost the tape with Lisa Janti's interview. I was freaking out. Thanks to Kyle who found it and subsided my worries.

Lisa Janti went by the stage name of Lisa Montell. She was an actress in many of the old classic westerns. She is a classy elegant woman and was gracious enough to sit before our camera and gave a great interview.

We also had great interviews with many others including Cheryl Rogers-Barnett the daughter of Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. She was a pro, answering most of our questions in her opening monologue. Others who gave us fantastic interviews include but are not limited to Gabby Hayes re-enactor Rob Doudell and the world champion female shooter Diane Miller aka "Dixie Bell" and her sister Carolyn Clark aka "Never Met A Stranger".

I also have to shout out to the Members of SASS that let us film their event and last but not least the members of the "Cowboy Quickdraw Charity Shoot". These guys put up with our shenanigans the most and we really appreciate it.

Western Legends

We are back from a great shoot. Kyle and I went down to Kanab for the Western Legends Round-Up, and shot some nice footage and got some great interviews. I'd like to thank all those that participated. Now it's time to rifle through all the footage and prep it for editing.

Prep for shooting

I'm excited to be in Kanab this weekend to start filming the Gunfighters documentary. I've contacted Cheryl Rogers-Barnett, Roy Rogers Daughter, and she is game for an interview. We will be getting footage of sets from classic western films that are still standing in the area as well as some fresh quick draw footage from local gunfighters. I'm excited to see what else we will find down there. I'll add information about the trip after we return.

To Begin Again!

Finally! A shooting Script has been roughed in and a new logo. Two years ago, Mike Paine and I went down to Kanab and Shot some footage and interviewed some gunfighters with the intent to create a mini-documentary. The great information we received made us very much aware that we had something bigger on our hands than we at first realized. We have finally gotten to a better place and have what we feel to be a better guide to our documentary. We are now ready to begin again in earnest. Our apologies to everyone who participated early on who had to wait for us to get our lives and projects focused.

We are also adding another helping hand to the cause. Kyle Allen, a talented actor who is currently studying film will help us in our production. Additionally we have secured a second camera and some much needed production equipment including a camera crane and lighting equipment.

We will be in Kanab again this year to shoot at the Western Legends Round-up. We hope that we will again find folks who are willing to help us create a great film. This will start off our shooting schedule. We will be looking at filming in additional places in the state to get historical information and for re-enactments.
